RTX3080Ti coming soon! Is it new air or savior of high-end graphics cards?

However, due to poor positioning of 3060, it may not be able to meet needs of some high-end players, but its older brothers 3070/3080 are still in a difficult position with a high premium. To this end, Nvidia has revealed that graphics card that has been on market for a long time is RTX3080TI.
First, these are specifications of RTX3080Ti. The 3080TI is still based on same 8nm GA-102 core as 3090, with 10,240 CUDA cores, 80 RT cores for ray tracing, and 320 Tensor cores. Support 12GB GDDR6X video memory, 384bit bus, 19Gbps video memory bandwidth. It is estimated that power consumption of entire graphics card is over 330W, and if you want to increase performance by connecting two cards, this is not necessary, since only 3090 graphics cards of this generation will support NVIDIA bridge SLI technology. .
Then most important thing is to compare performance of video cards. Among 18 officially selected games at 2K resolution, performance gap between RTX3080Ti and 3090 is only about 10fps, mostly difference between them is small.
And when test pressure gets to 4K, you can see that the gap is still small, so are you more inclined to buy a 3080 or are you willing to spend a little more to buy an RTX3080TI to get more memory and stronger performance?
Finally, there is a supply problem. We all know that due to skyrocketing price of bitcoin and other virtual currencies, graphics cards are now available for sale. However, RTX3080TI has gone on record saying that it will continue to use same means as 3060 to cap mining revenue to ensure that individual consumers can buy it.
According to latest release date, NVIDIA plans to introduce RTX3080TI in April. Since this model has been released twice in a row, there is a good chance that this time it will be released in April. The most important thing is price. Since this graphics card is designed to compete with RX6900XT from other manufacturers, estimated price can be around $1000. Compared to $1499 starting price of 3090, it is cost-effective.
