1. Symptoms
After turning on computer, there is movement on main unit, fan is spinning, a buzzing sound is heard, which means that computer starts up, but monitor does not respond, and indicator on lower right corner of monitor is yellow instead of white after startup.
First of all, you should check if host has been moved, causing signal line on rear panel to go down. a lot of time.

2. Problem analysis
First, let's look at working relationship between host computer and monitor: host computer and monitor are connected through a signal cable (VGA, HDMI, DVI, etc.), a line is transmitted to monitor, and the monitor displays a picture .
There are therefore three places where problems can occur: monitors, signal lines, and host hardware (graphics card, memory, motherboard, hard drive, etc.).
3. Solutions
For above three situations, we will analyze them one by one.
1. Show
If monitor is broken, of course there will be no answer, but how to judge a good monitor or not? Of course, this is a method of elimination, let's find another good monitor, connect it to this computer and see if monitor lights up. If it is still off, then previous monitor is good, if it is on, then previous monitor is really broken.
Of course, you can connect original monitor to another computer. If it lights up, it means that original monitor is healthy. If it doesn't light up, that means source monitor has run out.
2. Signal line
As with display, it's impossible to judge quality of a signal cable with naked eye. This is still a fix for now, find a different cable to test, or replace original signal cable with another computer to test. .
3. Host Hardware
Hardware failure on host can also cause display to fail to detect it. If it is a hardware problem in mainframe, main office staff should contact company's specialized technical staff. Let's take a broad look at what hardware can have problems.
①, video card
The graphics card is responsible for processing and outputting signals. If graphics card is broken, it means that signal cannot be processed or output normally, and monitor will certainly not respond.
Generally speaking, there are more than two interfaces on a video card. You can find a signal cable and replace it with another interface to check. Because in most cases, video card interface is likely to be damaged.
If entire graphics card is defective, only one graphics card can be replaced.
②、hard drive
The computer system is installed on hard drive. Generally speaking, a sudden power failure (called an illegal shutdown) can easily damage a computer system. However, if system is corrupted, display will still respond. white and display will also show a few lines of code.
If hard drive has completely failed, that is, it is completely damaged, this means that system on hard drive has completely disappeared. At this time, monitor will not respond to turning on computer.
③、Main Board
If main board is defective, display will not respond. Fixing problem is very difficult. Even professional technicians cannot carry out a detailed inspection of main board.
Of course, probability of finding a malfunction on motherboard is much less than on other equipment.
④、Memory
If memory is damaged, display will also not respond and memory card will need to be replaced.
