Internet speed too slow? This setting can increase speed of your Internet access! Make sure you fly fast
Although fiber optic Internet access is best way to access Internet, broadband Internet access is choice for ordinary people, and Internet access speed is always a topic worth discussing. With a lot of money being spent on low-quality Internet services, more and more people are looking for ways to improve speed of Internet in current conditions. These methods can be done by almost anyone on internet, so there is no difference, no improvement, and it is recommended that you use new method to change registry entries.
Setting appropriate TcpWindow value in registry can speed up Internet access. Note. If impact of normal network speed is not obvious, back up registry before changing.
First, while holding down key combination [Win+R], type "regedit" in "Run" box and open "Registry Editor" window.
Locate [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrenControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters" subkey in Registry Editor] In key pane on right, locate "DefaultTTL" key entry, right-click and select "Edit" menu item, change value from "40 " to "80" and press 【OK】.
In key value area on right, find "EnablePMTUBHDetect" key value item, right-click to select "Edit" menu item, change value from "1" to "0", and then click 【Confirm. 】 button.
In right click box, find or create a new DWORD key entry called "Global maxtcpwindowsize"; set its "Data Value" data to "256960" (decimal) or something similar.
Just close registry editor, restart your computer, and you will feel that Internet speed is much faster than before.
Principle: Normally, TCP/u002FIP data transfer unit defaults to a buffer size of 576 bytes. If this buffer is set relatively large, if a TCP//u002FIP packet data error occurs, entire contents of packet in entire data buffer will be lost and retransmitted. Obviously, constant retransmission will greatly affect efficiency of ADSL data transmission. Therefore, setting an appropriate buffer size to ensure high efficiency of ADSL data transmission will directly affect the transmission speed of ADSL.
