First: power problems
1. Power cord
Make sure power cord is firmly connected to motherboard, and there is no forgotten plug, most important thing is processor power supply (8/4 pins) and motherboard power supply (24 pins). If you buy a modular power supply, also check if wire is connected to power supply, because during installation process, power cord can be tightened and then loosened in various ways by you.
2. Power switch
The "-" switch behind power supply is on, and "o" switch is off, don't mix it up. After there are no problems with power, indicator light on motherboard should light up, which means power is on.
Second: heatsink installation problem
Neither too loose nor too tight when installing heatsink. The screws on buckle only need to be tightened.No miracles (this is also a point to pay attention to during entire installation process). If heatsink is pressed too tight, it will affect contact between CPU and motherboard, which will cause boot failure and certain motherboard damage after a long time.
Third: chassis problem
The most frustrating part of installation process is jumper on front of case. Check if jumper on front panel is inserted into corresponding pin by label on motherboard. If there is no problem with position, try using a screwdriver to short-circuit positive and negative poles of power-on pins, if it can catch fire, then there is a problem with jumper.
What if console is on but there is no signal on monitor?
Finally, computer started to idle, and when I saw light bulbs on case and motherboard, I felt a little relieved. First: display issues
1. Make sure display and wires are in order
There is no signal on monitor. The first thing to check is a problem with monitor. If you have other computers or laptops at home, you can connect a monitor to see if it can display image normally.
2. Input source monitoring
A typical monitor can have four interfaces: VGA, DVI, HDMI, and DP. Make sure your monitor's input source is same. The input source can be set directly using buttons on monitor.
Second: graphics card issues
1. Make sure your graphics card is working
The display of monitor operation is carried out through video card, first of all it is necessary to determine whether video card is working normally. If processor has a primary display, you can disable graphics card, connect display cable to the motherboard first, and check if it can display normally.
2. Check if video card power cable is connected
If you are using a mid-to-high-end discrete graphics card, it must be powered separately. Make sure video card's power cable is connected, otherwise it will not display properly. Some low-end graphics cards don't require a separate power supply, so you don't have to worry about this problem.
Third: memory problem
Memory is also most common problem that won't light up. First, check if your memory is inserted all way. When installing memory, you still need to apply a little effort.
If memory still does not light up after memory is inserted, you can keep only one memory and replace each motherboard slot to check separately.
