Memory cards nowadays usually have an 8-layer PCB, and some high-end gaming memory cards use a 10-layer PCB. Take GALAXY HOF 2 DDR4 for example. This is a gaming memory card that uses a 10-layer PCB. The base frequency reaches 4000MHz, and boost frequency can reach 5327MHz, which is quite impressive performance. The stable operation of these memory cards at such a high frequency depends on 10-layer PCB.
So, when choosing a memory card, pay attention to parameters of layer of printed circuit board of memory card. This is usually indicated on advertising pictures or in parameter specifications. If it is an ordinary memory card, then 8 layers.
