What should I do if CPU heatsink fan is not spinning? Recently, some users have reported that they found that CPU temperature is very high when using computer, and as a result, CPU heatsink fan does not rotate. How to solve this problem? How to fix that CPU cooler fan is not spinning? Here are three solutions for you.
method one:
Processor fan power failure. Under normal circumstances, CPU fan is powered by motherboard, and power supply interface is on fan cable. If you find that cable is loose, you can try to reconnect it and plug it into interface securely. If CPU fan returns to normal, issue is resolved. If processor fan still does not turn on, try connecting power cable to another identical power interface. If fan works, this means that dedicated power interface for processor fan is damaged, but effect is negligible (only BIOS cannot determine if processor fan is working ).
Method two:The CPU fan is clogged with dust. If desktop is used for a long time without cleaning it, it will cause dust to accumulate on CPU fan and block operation of fan blades. Remove CPU fan, clean it with a brush, and apply an appropriate amount of lubricating oil to fan shaft to reduce resistance.
Method three:The CPU fan itself is faulty. If above reasons are excluded, it is likely that CPU fan has burned out and cannot work. At this point, you need to buy appropriate CPU fan and reinstall it.
