Computer does not turn on, computer processor fan spins and then stops
Today I turned on computer and found that computer does not turn on, monitor does not respond, and after 10 seconds computer stopped working. When users use computers, they often encounter same crashes as Xiaobian, so don't worry too much just yet. After unplugging power cord, we opened case and then pressed computer's power button with power cable in hand and saw CPU fan turn and stop with our eyes and computer could not be started or turned on.
Both CPU fan and PSU fan stopped after one spin, apparently related to PSU. After we initially found cause of crash, we followed editor for troubleshooting.
Here is solution:
1. There is a problem with power supply or motherboard BIOS settings. First remove motherboard battery and put it back in for a few minutes. If user does not know where motherboard battery is, you can refer to Where is BIOS battery? How to replace BIOS battery, power-on check error still exists.
2. If you suspect there is a problem with power supply, disconnect original power supply and reconnect it. Start a test to make sure problem has been fixed. If not, you can only replace it with a new one. a new power supply or a good old power supply to troubleshoot. The editor uses second method to solve problem that computer does not turn on and CPU fan spins and stops.
If above two methods still fail to resolve issue, CPU contact may be broken.
Finally, computer's power cable may be of poor quality, which can also cause CPU fan to spin and stop.
Note: there are many reasons why a computer crashes, not every method is effective, this is just a reference. Hope above method can help users, it's best to ask a professional to check and troubleshoot!
